FroznBeavrBALLs Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Probably a really stupid question: What's the best glass you can buy which will withstand high dBs without cracking or shaking hard. Or is there no way to prevent that? I just got out of my car this evening, had my volume at 27 and sub dB level on my HU at +10...gain at 0...and my glass was vibrating so bad my windshield wipers were moving about an inch away from my glass. this is a good thing. it means you have bass. 2 DC 12" lvl 4s 1 DC 1.2k XS Power S3400 big 3 Alll KNU wire Pioneer HU cheapo Legacy coaxes (just for now) http://www.stevemead...n-sentra-build/

mlstrass Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Lexan is your best bet if you're breaking windshields regularly, but it's not wiper friendly. Most cars will hold up well, but large ass minivan windows don't fare so well. Broke 3 of them last year...

You could put uv coating on it, then a few layers of a plastic film, or clear tint so wipers don't scatch it. 2004 Bagged Trailblazer (4)18" Sundown Nsv3s (4) Taramps HD10000s, Taramps DSP3000, Lanzar opti 250x2, AB 100x4 (2)DC power SP 270s, (14)XS Power d3100s, (1)d6500
