Time for a Battery Upgrade

Hey guys,

I have a 2008 Accord 2.4L electrical is stock other than Big 3 which I just recently finished. I have a Sundown 1200d running 2 12 Type R’s and JL 300/4 running Polk components and coaxials. Before I did the Big 3 I was getting a voltage drop from 14.4V to 12.1V on heavy bass notes. I haven’t had time to test since then, but I have noticed my original OEM battery getting a little weaker so I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade before it goes dead and leaves me stranded.

I’m considering these 2 batteries since I can pick them up for around the same price:

1) XS POWER D1200

2) Kinetik HC2000

Will either of these batteries work as my primary and only battery for my system requirements? If not, what would be the minimum you would run working on a budget?

is the d1200 the oem-size replacement for your car? if you havent checked, call them up or email them and ask there.

you should be fine with one battery though

Thanks! I called XS and they recommended the 5100R as a direct replacement. So I need to search for a good price since they seem to cost a little more.

All honesty, I would prefer XS over anything , Ive been running 2500 watts rms off one XS D3400 and have very little if any voltage drop. Great product that I will always use for now on

Is XS really that much better than Kinetik? (1200>hc2000) I still need batteries to finish my electrical.

So once I get this battery am I about to my limit in power as far as not being able to upgrade to larger amps till I add a HO alternator?
