n8ball2013
Dakota gauges are boring and dated. Accurate as hell, but if they would update that dot matrix fucking look I would have them in my 51. it might be boring but you cant find a better one. I have been using stinger volt meter for past 3 year and it works fine. didnt you fry your factory alt but say you didnt have any voltage drop? you sure it works fine? After tuning amp with o-scope, I started to have decent volt drop to mid 11's, which stinger volt meter picked up. Before that with hifonics, I had a very minor drop, only .2-.4v I also remember saying something about not having a voltage drop, but don't remember if it was about hifonics or sundown and yes, I messed my factory alternator with sundown amp. BUT, for $25, stinger volt meter is well worth it.
n8ball2013
Ive seen far too many of them fail. Hell I used to have them too. Theres one in my basement still that lasts about ten minutes from calibration before it ends up .1 off and just gets worse. You'd think stinger would have a better product with their name on it. Some people swear by it. I have far too much money invested to worry about 100 bucks for a voltmeter. The dakota digital matches my head unit much better anyways. KillaCam
I'll be going with dakota gauges whenever I finally start my build. They're accurate and show numbers, I don't need a screen with a red dick of death flying across it when I drop below 13.5. And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth..
