redrider
well as slow as the subs took me to get in, they came out even quicker..... they were so stiff that i couldnt get them to move even with the amp turned up all the way, so i shipped them back to cadence and talked with a rep and got a new pair sent out to me in time for my show next weekend. the ones i had were part of a defective batch they had when they first came out....but all good since the rep over at Cadence took care of me and getting the subs out asap. now i just wait for the ups guy to deliever my new subs. audio setup HU: sony Amps: cadence csa5000.1(running at 1 ohm 1200w x 1) Subs: pair of cadence s2w8-s2 Doors: cadence zrs65k's component set Box: customed glassed box tuned @ 35 hz with one 4" port....built by me Underhood: powerbastards.com H/O 200 amp alt, big 3 upgrade(4 awg) and optima red top battery Wiring: SQ audio 0 awg amp kit Cadence Sponsored build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/133648-96-s10-cadence-audio-build/page__hl__cadence

redrider
nice build ... how do u like the cadence products ? well the componets I have in my doors which are just running off my HU are really crisp and clean which shocked me.... i am waiting to get them on an amp to see what they can really do. as far as the subs, I havent had a chance to hear them yet. had to send them back since i got a set of their newly produced 8s and they had a defect with them(way way too stiff.....no movement at all) i am waiting for the new pair to arrive, but i will say that the subs are solidly built defect or not. I should have a better input on the subs come mid next week. audio setup HU: sony Amps: cadence csa5000.1(running at 1 ohm 1200w x 1) Subs: pair of cadence s2w8-s2 Doors: cadence zrs65k's component set Box: customed glassed box tuned @ 35 hz with one 4" port....built by me Underhood: powerbastards.com H/O 200 amp alt, big 3 upgrade(4 awg) and optima red top battery Wiring: SQ audio 0 awg amp kit Cadence Sponsored build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/133648-96-s10-cadence-audio-build/page__hl__cadence
meade916
the system turned out good! one suggestion to keep the material (fleece, or whatever you use) from wrinkling up on you and making more work. Pull it tighter in the beginning and use less resin on the initial coat until it locks up for you. I always get just enough on it to get it stiff. (uhhhh ya, i said stiff lol). Then after it sets up, put more on it inside and out. Then you can go buck-wild with the glass. If you put to much resin on the fleece in the beginning it will saturate and start to sag. I love the way the finished product turned out though, just a little extra work never hurt nobody! good luck on system of the month bro!
