nosho47
i have tried to charge one of my d3100 with a die hard platinum battery charger with the agm setting and charge rate at 2A slow. it charges the battery fine until it hits 77% @ 12.6 v and then says that the battery is bad. it is wierd cause when i check it with my dmm which has a load test and it says the battery is good. do you guys think the battery is bad or do i have a POS charger? SnowDrifter
The load test function on a DMM will NOT test a battery. You need a true load tester. And for the charger: It might just think it can't accept a charge because the d3100 is so big. It takes a lot of juice to top off a battery like that Edited February 18, 2012 by SnowDrifter Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

SnowDrifter
I'd give it a full charge first. You might need to get a different charger Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Nathan @ XSpower
2 amps would take forever to charge a D3100 that is discharged. Edited February 20, 2012 by Nathan@XSPOWER
