What happened to JBL and Jensen items

Those of you who are putting down Jensen, have you actually used any of their equipment? I doubt it, or you'd know its decent budget-level stuff. Sure its not DC/Sundown/Pioneer level stuff, but neither is the price. Its not the greatest available, but if you're on a tight budget, you could do a lot worse.

No, and most of us wouldn't because we read from other people's experiences before buying stuff. Researching saves time.. and money.

IF I was on such a tight budget, i'd go audiopipe/lanzar and the like before jensen. They just bring nothing to the table.

I ran jensen HU before and it worked great for 2 years. Also had a JBL 300.1 amp which was awesome. Was looking to get 1200.1 version, but didn't find one.

Just because someone said that Jensen or JVC is crap doesn't mean it crap.

Just like audiopipe is piece of shit brand to me, even thought I never ran it, and heard it from people on here and around competitions.

"ok" and a thumbs up will work? maybe you have me confused with someone else, as I said.. jvc's arsenal Line is/was great the 8500 in particular I can account for.. jbl's crown series I can also account for being great, I wouldn't bother with the other stuff simply because I don't want to waste money in replacing it for better quality later on. Jensen, in the 90s.. sure good stuff then. As I said, now.. they just bring nothing to the table..

sooo.. in short, I am still not sure how to respond to your quoting me and letting me know your opinion.. as that's what i've done in my original two posts and furthermore in this one.

Audiopipe is like any other brand, but some of their amp lines like the AP series and the Ipipe subs have been proven to do rated and hit well on meters.. thus why "I" would use them in regards to an alternative as their price range is why I chose them in a reference towards the brands listed ( jensen in particular ).

A lot of people said that Sony xplode subs are a huge piece of shit, yet there is a guy on this forum doing 150's with 4 of them.

Fecupe does not count. (Guy with 4 15" xplods in a wall) I am getting a JBL px300.4 from a friend. Already downloaded the service manual to repair it. He ran one channel at 1 ohm for a week before he smoked some of the FETs in it. Already have the part numbers, just need to order them and solder the new ones in and should be good to go. His never had problems and sounded great til he went tard mode on the wiring.

I really like you trying to argue an invalid argument .. but didn't you just reference you hated audiopipe and I said I like them in short? it's opinions.. not experiences with them. you've heard from people.. you haven't found out why they say that or tested the product yourself? Please don't think i've not had messed with jensen stuff.. i've said I've not owned any.

I did say research as you quoted/bolded.. I didn't know research meant listening to people only. JVC recently released a HU that is compatiable with Android similiar to how the headunits use the iDevices which I think is pretty steallar out for those guys with android devices.

I guarentee 95% of people who commented on (and hated on) have NEVER used JBL/Jensen. JBL makes some pretty awesome amplifiers.. Jensen makes some good budjet stuff..

when i had my first system i used jensen cuz it was all i could afford it was the old dimand plate model 600 watts max 250 rms jensen amps are voice coil burners know matter what setting you put on it

Lol this is similar to what people "say" about Hifonics...especially the HFI series...sure they may not output the full 2k rms they say they do, but they have good sound quality to them for being $200 and less...

correct, it's user dependant to extents, if they feel they are supplied with enough power for what they are paying, they by all means need to do what they want. It's their system regardless of anyone. The user/owner needs to be happy.

People seem to take a lot of offence on here over it though lol. I doubt i'll look back at this thread anymore as it's full of argument and validation of comments rather than just answering your question and I for one am sorry for that.
