You can get a 6.0 in there too you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. pstone11 Posted December 10, 2007 Author Report Posted December 10, 2007 The whole gas tank in the trunk thing was a safety issue between the Aussie Holden version, and the american version. They had to put it in the trunk to get it over here. Quote from a GTO site-- This one is the 6 speed version - the 5.7 is the only motor for that year. They had to put it in the trunk to get it over here. why? where was it in the original version? to me the gas tank in the trunk would more dangerous.

You can see where it should be - there is a bulge in the trunk on the pass side under the filler neck. I can only guess that's where it is supposed to be.
