What is the difference between a "Kicker" and a "Round Subwoofer" Witch hit's harder the kicker or sub ( I know you have to consider the Ohm's the box it's in and the amp / rms ) But I saw http://www.caraudiodeals.com/kicker-soloba...ofer-p-931.html Do you think if i matched up a amp + sub box for that that it would Slam pretty decent or no? littleitaly1990 Posted December 10, 2007 Report Share Posted December 10, 2007 I dont know bout caraudio deals. Kicker is just a brand of sub, and round subs are "usually" better. Depends on the box, amps, etc. That sub does hit very hard. Dual voice coil basically means that instead of having 1 4ohm voice coil, it has two, which creates more ways to wire the sub in order to obtain a certain impedence (which determines watts rms) A vitrolic, megalomaniacal sadistic psychopath. Kicker makes square subs and I'm sure thats what you're referring to. They come in the L5 series (moderate power and perfornmace) and the L7 series (higher power and more performance) Alot more goes into "how loud a sub will be so comparing an L7 (square sub) to a round sub totally depends on what round sub you're considering/comparing.
