KenC210
Well i am finally building the box for my aq 15" going o start a little today and little by little after work. so now i wanna know which way to put in the port specs in the torres calc? If i switch the width and height of the port i get different numbers. So which is the right way to put the width and height? carshateme
Wow...that's a lot of volume for 2 15s..of course that could be the recommendation for them. I can't find a manual online (I was being lazy) and I never messed with 15s before. Leave your height at 23. No need to be messing with the height of your port. I would make your port longer though. n8ball2013
I wouldnt. making the port longer lowers tuning frequency. If you knew anything about AQ and you're not one of those idiots who thinks you need to tune to 25 in order to get low end output you'll realize that his tuning is perfectly fine. Not that anyone is an idiot im sure he said he couldn't find out anything on aq, but i did ask aq reps and they did say 3.5-5.0 cubes for each sub and that they generally like a higher tuning around 35-38hz so i am trying to keep it in that range. I just wonder about the port cuz if i put the hight and width in a different location it gives me a different net volume and port area. i am trying to keep it on the lower volume cuz they will see about 1000wrms each powered by a kicker zx1000.1 Edited March 5, 2012 by KenC210 Quote Kids Cadi Power Wheel Build2007 Ford Escape Build2012 Toyota Corolla Build 2013 Toyota Tundra
carshateme
Like N8 said, I don't know anything about AQ so I'm not going to give any further suggestion. But best regards in the box building! Make sure you show it off when you build it =) would love to see it finished. Edited March 5, 2012 by carshateme Quote New build coming soon. KenC210
im going to figure either way the specs are put in torres calc should be fine i guess. the volume or tune doesnt change to drastically. i mainly used the torres to get around the proper length anyway to achieve a good tunning Quote Kids Cadi Power Wheel Build2007 Ford Escape Build2012 Toyota Corolla Build 2013 Toyota Tundra

There is a very big misconception that you need to tune extra low to have low end output Quote THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. 412 CVX
Have you ever heard of the push/pull tool? that's the one thing that bothers me whenever you do your sketchup models... you never include the wood thickness. Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid. ChevyBoy95
x2 ^^ i have seen better low end output from a box tuned at 40hz than i did at 34hz.
