I thought I had to pry this c-clip But the way to do it is to slide a small flat head in this slot, pry GENTLY, and jiggle the mirror up and off the mount. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

And yeah, its real easy. Reading the guy posts on Mustang and tinting forums makes it sound like you'll shatter your windshield if you aren't an expert and don't have special tools.
