OrionStang Posted April 29, 2012 Author Report Posted April 29, 2012 OK, so while I wait to get my second baffle done, I had to think of a way to brace the single one enough to try and go full volume. The main problem is at the top where the port and baffle meet, it moves in a weird way LOL. So I bought some more 1/8" steel angle, this time it's 1 1/2"x1 1/2". It will span the width of the baffle and attach to it and the port lip. This is only temporary, but should do the trick. Comparison Holes drilled out SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

I wonder if you could've done it on the inside, in the joint there, and bolted it to the baffle and the port and gotten double the strength out of it. Although the "L" shape gives you a ton of strength I think maybe bolting to both pieces would've maybe given even better results then you may see here, albeit better than nothing like before. Probobly woul have been stronger that way, but the baffle is leaned back 15 degrees, so he couldn't bolt it to both the port and baffle seeing as the angle iron is 90 degrees. Yea, this is temporary I believe, at least till his and my schedules can line up and he can get up to my place so I can help him with the second baffle. hopefully sometime this week. Brandon (Sparkn_Ranger) helped me with the first one, and has the router and table saw, he lives in Hesperia and we are both kinda busy. The angle is just a temp fix until the second baffle does go on, which will tie everything together. Yeah Brandon, its all good at least for next weekend.
