I know how you feel about wanting it to pound. I used to be a bass head, hell, I started building an enclosure before I bought the vehicle. I bought it really, because 1) after 3 back surguries, I thought it would be dificult getting in and out of the vehicle I had. 2) I wanted to be loud. Long story short, I put 8 10s in it, and destroyed it. All the door panels are broke, the whole damn thing vibrates and rattles. Now I'm down to a single 6.5" sub. I wish you would'nt have done this to a nice car like that, but oh well, to late now. nice job on the build. good luck with the numbers. Whats the cars resonant frequincy? You prolly know this, but it might feel louder at a lower freq, but numbers wise, it may be louder at a higher freq.

You know, all you guys saying "poor car" and "I wih you didn't do that to such a nice car", why don't you say that about the builds in $50-80k Burbs, Escalades, and Hummers. It's just a fucking $29k car. It still gets babied by me, trust me. I dare anyone to find a mechanical flaw. May have some interior wear, but god damn, what car doesn't. I bought it to drive the shit out of it. And, every car i've ever had has had a loud stereo, I like loud music.

Resonant freq? Who knows. It used to 'sound' louder in the low 30's, but now the high 30's are loudest. We'll see what the meter says on the 6th of May.

DJ, I don't even look at it like that. A car is a car. A lot of people judge by what some one drives. Old or new, its still just a hunk of steel. I'm not gonna stress the fuck out over every little hairline scratch and rock chip. It can be fixed later.

True, if its what you can afford and you take care of it then props. I guess I'm just proud because I come from a poor family and I have a nicer car then I can remember my mom ever having. I always provided for them because shit was bad and I guess I developed one hell of an ego for that lol. If you got something and you take care of it then props, but if you got something nice and treat it like shit then wtf. Like I said in some other post, "If I had a rolls royce phantom I would wall it off and staple my dick to the glove compartment".
