WakingJudea Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 just installed a 270 mechman alt, d6500 up front, 2 xp3000 in back, one bc3500 at .5 ohm tuned with dd-1, one run of pos and neg to the back and im dropping into the low 12s at full tilt. the amp leads to the batterys are 4ft long if that matters and neither of the xp3000 are grounded in the back (i dont really want to drill holes in trunk if i can help it) would adding another run or 2 of neg to the back help? the subs are 4 chaos 15s d1's for anyone wondering.

carlosg_313 Posted March 21, 2012 Report Posted March 21, 2012 That is weird....I only got a xs power d3400, d3100 and a dc alty, with just one run of pos and neg wire(knukonceptz), 4ft run of kicker wire to the back battery and 3ft to neg post of back battery, had it wired to .5ohm and only dips to the 13.5-13.8.....maybe another run of wire would help a lot. How do the Japanese feel about bass?You know that since 03/11/11 Progene? I just saw that stuff on CNN. If you are running your amp hard im willing ot bet you have in the neighborhood of 500 amps of draw. You only have enough reserve for a short time. This is why I do not advocate for every tom dick and harry running their amps that hard. They all think that its magical to do so and then fail to realize that current draw goes through the roof and output is a couple hundred watts more. It's just not worth it in most cases.
