SmallTruk
What would be better (and why)....to run a pair of amps strapped to the subs or run each amp separately to each woofer?
Watch the bass
Better strap them, only 1 time gains to set. Quote "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley
bass_stalker
depends on your subs and impedience, if you strap you only have to set gains and all on one amp but you usually have to have a 2 ohm load. if you go with two seperate amps you can usually go to 1 ohm but you will have to gain match the amps now i'm not saying it isnt possible to go lower, but i dont think its recommended Edited March 26, 2012 by bass_stalker Quote JEEP BUILD PROJECT ANTIBLING.2000 jeep Cherokee.HEADUNITAlpine Cda-9886SUBSTAGE1 acendent 18" audio mayhem motor with a TI basket and tantric parts1 prototype DAT hellfire 1000.1HIGHSStockELECTRICALdb link 0 gaugeKnuconceptz Kolossus 4 gauge1 xs power d3400 under hoodBig 3 upgradeold fourwheeler build The only way to delete your SMD account is for you crawl to steve meades door step on your knees and pleade for his forgiveness and acceptance to be released...He will either grant your wishes.....or choke you with a large piece of 0 gauge and electrocute you by hooking up a solid gold DC 12k at 0.000001 ohm and 10000 volts to your eye sockets and blow your head apart You guys act like you have never clogged a toilet and ran around the bathroom frantically hoping it don't overflow. SmallTruk
I've got the DD1 so the gain matching isn't a problem. Both subs are dual 2 and the amps are 1ohm stable each/2ohms strapped so I can run it either way. I might just swap things around and run them separately just for the hell of it. Won't take much more than a phone cable splitter and 10 minutes with the DD1
