Dimensions Posted March 28, 2012 Report Share Posted March 28, 2012 Hey everyone, I have been out of the car audio world for 6 years now, and I have an itching to install a system. Since I have been away for a while I wanted to get opinions on a new lower end set up. Long story, short, I picked up a 2002 Honda Civic Coupe, everything is stock, front speakers do not work, and a Pioneer 6800. I am a little undecided as far as budget goes. On the one hand, I will be spending tons of hours driving long distances in this car, and it would be nice for it to sound good. However, this car will be my "crappy" car and really don't want to spend oodles of time or money on it. The one thing that is definitely getting done, and where I want to spend more money, is some sound deadening. This thing has a ton of road noise. I have some equipment sitting around that I am debating on using, just not really set on anything yet. Here is what I am thinking. HU: Pioneer 8400BH (I like the Bluetooth streaming audio as all my music is on my phone) Mids & highs: Directed Audio 6.5" coax (I have a couple pairs BNIB just sitting around, not really sure I wanna use these though) Sub amp: Orion 600D (I have this sitting around and would like to use) Sub: Orion P-Series 10 (Also sitting around, would probably use that) Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated. 2002 Honda Civic (Current) HU: JVC KD-X50BT (Replaced Pioneer 6800 that came with it) All stock w/ 3 working speakers.
