IndianaBassHead
Hey everybody, I've got a quick question. I've got 2 re sxx 12's running off 2 arc ks 1000.1's and the low bass sounds pretty terrible. I know the amp settings aren't the problems. the gain is MAYBE 1/8th of the way up. The bass boost is all the way off and crossover frequency is set to 80 hz. I am having a hard time finding the problem here. The box is right at 4 cu ft. and tuned to 30 hz. The setup is in the hatch of my 350z. Also when the bass hits, the box comes completely off the floor. I think this may be half the problem. Also, any ideas how to hold my box down without drilling holes in the floor? there is no carpet so velcro won't work, thanks! jrchevy87
the lack of carpet is your problem, i just had the same issue with my jeep, so i just put a piece of carpet on the bottom of the box and used two l brackets on the back of the box to keep it from sliding around Quote Jeep Wrangler TJ Hardtop Build

IndianaBassHead
thanks a lot everybody! Only problem with putting down false floor is I can't get the box out of my car.. It was built inside. But I will just use L brackets and bolt them into the floor of the car. And the subsonic is set to 25 hz. IndianaBassHead
I mean it sounds that easy but its really not. I cant really lift the box up more than an inch or two. It's built against the strut bar in the back of the car. I'm not sure if you're familiar with 350z's or not. I will definitely give that a try though. Sheena
im not familiar with a 350z. you could try 1/2" mdf instead of 3/4" though. just trying to give you ways not to destroy your car lol Quote 09 Civic EX KDC-X395 (2) SKAR Audio VVX-12 Skar Audio SK-1500.1 4 cu ft @32 (new box and more port soon) Firing Forward not sealed off Stock 80 Amp Alt Big 3 In 1/0 Knu 2 Runs To The Back 1 Pos 1 Neg In 1/0 Knu DD-1'd 13.8v drop
Bump4life
your box jumping up is one problem. it hitting the lows is another problem whether it be the box or maybe loading issues off back of car it theres no breathing roomb, etc. it could be many things. l bracks will hold your box down. then give an update. i dont see how your box moving will effect the sound too much. i see it taking away from SPL but it should still produce lowend if designed right Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now.
