KenC210
Not a versus thread i should add.... Just wondering the opinions about the quality of kicker amps compared to the aq line of amps... I ask because i may end up changing out all my kicker amps and look into aq. matt14
Does the kicker just run hot in gerneral, or do you have good grounds, good voltage, good wiring, too much gain? That is what i would be looking at. AQ amps are good from what I have read, but not sure if you want to just swap out kicker for AQ. Bump4life
"Just wondering the opinions about the quality of kicker amps compared to the aq line of amps." that is clearly a vs question. comparing = vs. before a mod gets in here hopefully someone will help you. all i can say is i ran my AQ1200D at .5ohm through last summer and it pounded all day everyday no problems and sounded good doing it. they really are a great product. Only reason i got rid of was because I got a connection with DD and get good prices. But my friend still bumps that AQ1200D @ .5ohm and sounds good in his car now. good amps for the price Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. 01ExSport
Can't comment on the reliability, although I haven't ever heard anything bad about them. But the 3500d is stout as hell, weighs in at a modest ~32 lbs o.O

Jared420
I ran an aq 1200 then bought a second to strap them, then switched setups again and bought an aq2200 then a second and strapped them never had problems with the amps only issue I ever had was the connection on the gain knob became bad on one cord or the knob itself but since I had 2 amps I switched it out and called aq and then sent me a new one anyway. Pretty minor the aq amps put out pretty good power and perform well especially for the prices. If you have proper wiring (size and grounds) it shouldn't overheat. But the only experience I have with kicker amps are2 friends of mine one had a 400.1 and one had a 750.1 both seemed to run on the warmer side but I can't vouch for wether or not my friends were clipping by just cranking the gains. The 400.1 lasted about 5 years the 750.1 about 2-3 then he sold it so I don't know where it went.
