Nivram Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 I have 2 15in sundowns walled in my buick. my wife told me she likes 8's because she thought the looked "cute" ... Either way... I bought 4 8's today and built 2 sealed boxes for them that will live In the rear foot well, back seat floor. I plan on building an amp rack on the center hump to tie in the rear boxes for a nicer look. Either way My question is. Am i An idot for doing this. Is it going to make my system drop spl? Or will it make it a bit louder? Im a noob. My wife wanted them so i did it for her. I just hope it will give me a small gain. Thanks for your time. And as long as they're powered by a separate amp, you won't lose any power to your wall. Just don't make it look ghetto lol. You probably will gain a little bit as well... Anyone who says an O-scope IN THE MINIMUM isnt necessary, is a noob. Forget the DD-1 for a minute, any reputable installer will at LEAST use an O-scope. Those guys in that thread are clowns. Hard headed clowns.

My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.

Today i made 2 boxes that sit on the floor behing the seat just to take up that little space. 2 8's on each side. 2 sealed boxes. on there own amp im just hoping it will be louder from the extra cone of the 8's. but i doubt the 4 8's have much cone at all. I just dont want to be losing sound because of this.
