The only way you'd lose is if you wired those 8's to the same amp as the 15's. My car has 2 6x9's 2 5 1/4's 2 15's And 4 8's Ive heard things about sound waves canceling out eachother and making it less loud. i just hope im not doing that by adding the 8's. dahulk86 Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 first of all it's not suggested to be puttin the 8's in a sealed box... could damage subs and you are loosing alot not even close for full potential of the subs. I would highly reccomend putting them in a ported box and tunning them between 32-35hz just a suggestion but good luck man..
Nivram Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 I would have ported the boxes but i doubt they are big enough for it to sound right. there wasnt much space where i needed them to go so the box is 22x14x6 so 1.06 cubes for 2 subs. Loslam Posted April 1, 2012 Report Posted April 1, 2012 There's nothing wrong with having them in sealed boxes. Why would you do ported if you're already ported for your low bass with 15s?
