AB18VFL
If you're like me, you HATE having ugly badges on the rear end of your car. Or maybe you just dont want people knowing what kind of car you drive? My last car was a 99 Chevy Monte Carlo. I wanted to remove "chevrolet" and "monte carlo" and especially the "LS" badges without taking any paint off. I got behind each letter with a piece if dental floss. The letters came off pretty nicely, but then I was left with horrendous foam and glue on the paint. I tried a bunch of stuff to take it off (3M adhesive remover, WD40...), but nothing would take it off. I was left with no option but to attempt peeling it all off with my fingers. After 2 hours, I got it all off. All I had to do now was wash the blood off my bumper. Recently my friend came up with the idea of picking up a vinyl Strip Removing Wheel. I had no idea what it was, so I went to 'Auto Finishers' and picked one up. When I saw it, I was terrified. By the looks of it, I was sure it would not only remove the badges, but every layer of paint on the back of my trunk. He hooked it into his power drill, and I walked away. I couldnt watch. Litterally 45 seconds later, he called me back into the garage, and my trunk was GORGEOUS. Left not even a speck of glue or foam. And my paint was actually shinier in that area. How come I never knew about this when debadging all of my other cars? I absolutely recommend this tool to anyone who wants their whip looking clean and stealthy. Amart88
Best stuff I used to get that stuff off was Zep "Big Orange" grease and tar remover. spray it let it sit for a min or two and then it come right off with a flat credit card and a rag. I tried goo gone and a bunch of other stuff and none worked :S but big orange finally did it Edited April 8, 2012 by Amart88 Quote My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled. AB18VFL
What kind of material is that bit made up of? I don't blame you for being scared, that bitch looks viscious! its rubber, alot like an eraser. when debadging, youll notice the wheel decreasing in size, and you'll be covered in rubber shavings/dust. Advanex
I used one on an old Suburban when I shaved the door moldings. I also used it on my current ride to debadge the back end. I used this one. Not as aggressive as the one you have, but it did the job easily! http://www.signwareh...-HT-STPELM.html Don't know why, but the picture is straight on upload, but sideways here. Sorry.
