Maybe get a second dc 2k and be happy. Probably the cheaper route to go also. Be more than enough for them subs with 1k each before rise. formerly known as Blue86f150 its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies. Thats a sick ass build!! uhhmmm one question tho... why not ported?!?! Well, there were a few reasons why. First one being that doing a ported box would have called for a not square box, meaning I would have to cut angles. This was the first box I've ever built, so I didn't feel too comfortable cutting a bunch of weird angles and risk fucking up 200 dollars wood, lol. Second was that my listening preferences range from slowed music to rock/eagles, so sealed was a good idea to suit my listening AND I felt confident building it. It would just be a really tedious box build to do ported in here, and at the time I didn't feel comfortable building it. Dont worry, though. I was thinking about that, but I like running one amp, it makes things so much easier. Plus, I want to get a 5k so I have room to upgrade to stronger subs (like maybe 4 Q 15's?) lol. Anyway, once I do get another amp I;d just dial back the gain a bit and take it easy on the vol knob.
