Well, As of right now things are up in the air. I went to the Escondido show today, and I may be able to get a killer deal on some AB VFL 15's. So I'm REALLY thinking about those.

However, I'm not sure about what I'm doing yet because I noticed on the drive to the show today white smoke billows out of my tailpipe every time I hit the gas going up the hills to Escondido. Was not cool. I have a noticeable clicking sound when I accelerate in heat (or going uphill), but just today I saw the white smoke coming from my tailpipe. So I'm not exactly sure what's going on with my car.

EDIT: Wanted to be clear here. Only when im accelerating and the ticking sound starts, the smoke came out of the tailpipe. I was able to go uphill without hearing the ticking, but it was like 45 mph, lol. So if you guys have any idea what it might be lemme know

If all goes well with my car and it's nothing serious, I'm really leaning towards AB, just because of the price. I could run arguably less power to them, meaning less to spend on an amp. If Johnny can help me design a box that will perform with the 18's, I might do those too. It all depends on my car, lol.

Just do it soon before you overheat the thing and have to get the head and block surfaced.

Short story, get the head gasket changed.

Yep, that's what people have been saying Cracked head or the gasket. I hope its the gasket. I'm gonna have it looked at sometime tomorrow or tuesday hopefully. Thanks for the input. I shuold really elarn how to do this shit myself.

yeah you definitely need some more power on those(i was the guy with the trailblazer in back with the w7s if your wondering) could also be valve seals which is common in that year of Toyota which could be addressed if you do the head gasket

Arthur hearing ur wall at SoCal bass and bbq's and seeing the massive potential for a solid 150 under 40hz mean you need those sp4 18's.

Thanks hunter. If I need any help I'll let you know. In all honesty I'd love to go with the sp4s just because I want the biggest and loudest I can fit, and because kens practically giving those subs away. If I can get a Good box design for em I'll do it. I'm stripping the car down once I get the problem fixed, so Johnny can help me design something nice.
