Borris The Blade Posted April 13, 2012 Report Posted April 13, 2012 I'm building this for my bro its gonna be 2 HDC3 12s on a AQ 2200 forward firing sealed from the trunk. He originally wanted to go with DC but when I got him quote of 5k for a total build cost he wanted to save bit and get done faster. Gonna be ordering the subs and amp tomorrow will post pics when the arrive. As of now he's running a stock head unit and kicker 6.5s and 6x9s. He just sold his L7 and kicker 1000.1 and his looking for a double din at the moment. He wants to run a kicker 4 channel and set of comps. for the mids and highs. Not sure what else he plans on but I'm sure I'll be ordering more stuff this weekend. For now here's some pics of the car its all going in. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.

Borris The Blade Posted April 13, 2012 Author Report Posted April 13, 2012 There's enough room I got a little under 9 cubes to work with and that's losing almost all of the trunk. There's some panels under the rear deck that can be removed and gain an inch or 2 in height. He don't mind losing his trunk as long as its louder than what he had. We're not going for numbers just a good daily ground pounder that can move a bit of air. He plans to step up to the 3500 when he gets an alt. I'm pretty excited for this I haven't built anything in over six years but I'm confident with my skills that I can pull this off. It's like rubbing your wiener up against a sheep.

Borris The Blade Posted May 7, 2012 Author Report Posted May 7, 2012 A little update installed a Pioneer AVH-P4300 and that made a world of a difference over the stock unit on his L7. Needless to say he's happy and can't wait for the AQs to go in. I ordered a bunch more stuff for the build today and the AQs should be here tomorrow, but I wont be able to start for a few more weeks because he lives an hour and a half away and I work 12 day weeks so its hard to find time that we are both off. I never bothered with mine but it does look a ton better.
