More electrical wiring advice w/ bump4life

hey whats up. summer is coming. spring is here. lets get this system going.

so currently running M1C @ .5 ohm (no problems at all, doesnt get hot), DD C2C (160x2 @ 2 ohms), and JL 400/4 (100x4 @2ohms) using max spec on all amps. so total current draw max is (150A+40A+40A=230A)

i have stock alternator and big 2. engine block to frame, and batter neg to frame. stock battery location is in trunk. so i dont have run from alt to bat pos.

my question is, should i do 2 runs total (one + and one -) from alt to rear bat? or will i need more for power running? i am using KNU OFC 0 gauge. keep in mind there will be large stock battery and an XS D5100 in rear.

currently my voltage drop is from 13.9 down to 12.4 on full tilt. my plan is to also add another battery(d5100 located right noext to stock attery to right in small space. currently i have the beefiest stock battery known to man. idk what it is but it holds its own. mercedes does well. and also stock wiring throughout car is 4 gauge.0102120046a.jpg

I would deffinately do two runs because the body is pretty thin and the newer the car the more aluminum used in most cased so that adds resistance to your ground circuit. If you've got the extra wire you could do a neg from batt to frame as well just for extra assurance

Take a power and a ground run of good 4ga (with stock alt) or 1/0(If you upgrade) straight from the alt to the rear battery.

I would also run a second run from the alt case to the frame in the front.

Then do a solid battery ground in the rear.

ok sounds good. thanks.

dont i already have a solid battery ground in rear?

and also when i have XS power bat in rear too i was told to put pos run from alt to stock bat and neg run from alt to XS bat is this true?

id do one positive run, and one negative run from a engine ground. also you could do a extra 1/0 frame ground.

im going to do the negative run straight form the alt casing. and where is the extra 1/0 frame ground going to and from?

Run everything in parallel with a battery ground.

Alt + and - (plus alt - to ground)

to

Bat + and - (+battery - to ground)

to

Bat + and -

to

Amps

Makes sense?

what 1995 car has a "steel frame" 99% of all cars n suvs are unibody

yep that makes sense. one more thing. should i connect alt to stock bat or XS power bat? does it matter? and should all amps be on xs power battery?
