RickyFriery97
ive been thinking about running my XL 18"s inverted in my hoe, i know it will add interior volume any other advantages/disadvantages? also the motors will be semi close to the ceiling if i invert them, will i run into any troubles there? also dont you have to set a setting on the amp diffrent when running inverted? mainly i wouldnt mind the WOW factor of those sexy XL motors sticking up back there lol 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
Robby Holmes
iirc, i believe you have to reverse the polarity? something i heard, not sure if its accurate. e/: only problem i can see '08 Chevy Cobalt coupe 2.2 base model trunk build: 2 9512iSC flatwound alum 1.5 coils -extra 9500 spider pack -8" platinum carbon dustcaps 1 DD Z1 (.375ohm nominally daily) 3g31 AGM 320a Ohio Gen alt 1 DD S4 4 channel 4 VO-M8v1's (holes cut for 3rd pair) 2 CS 6.5's 2 VO-B1's Sony XAV-601BT all Knu Krystal RCA's Cadence 7band EQ ______________________ 148.3db @ 32hz (burp) 148.4 @ 37 & 38hz (burp) 146.xdb 90sec average (center windshield)

Robby Holmes
well inverting the polarity is just reversing your amp inputs. i may be wrong so don't do this before you get more feedback. lol '08 Chevy Cobalt coupe 2.2 base model trunk build: 2 9512iSC flatwound alum 1.5 coils -extra 9500 spider pack -8" platinum carbon dustcaps 1 DD Z1 (.375ohm nominally daily) 3g31 AGM 320a Ohio Gen alt 1 DD S4 4 channel 4 VO-M8v1's (holes cut for 3rd pair) 2 CS 6.5's 2 VO-B1's Sony XAV-601BT all Knu Krystal RCA's Cadence 7band EQ ______________________ 148.3db @ 32hz (burp) 148.4 @ 37 & 38hz (burp) 146.xdb 90sec average (center windshield)
medley123
Actually I don't think you need to reverse polarity for inverting unless you're running some inverted and others not, then you will need to reverse polarity so they're all in phase with each other. I think... lol someone correct me if i'm wrong. Inverted subs look badass just gotta be careful that the surround isn't rubbing too much on the box 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!) ChevyBoy95
you dont have to do anything with the phase/polarity if both are facing the same direction. Also as long as nothing is covering the pole vent you should be fine in that aspect.
