SlamminBeats Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 its like a mini house in there. so is the sealed side like a normal sized box for 2 18s? or is it like a smaller side box? or is it like a ridiculously under sized box for them? lol
FieroGrande Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Idk how I haven't seen this build but sucks to hear about the sub
mrd6 Posted June 10, 2013 Author Report Posted June 10, 2013 its like a mini house in there. so is the sealed side like a normal sized box for 2 18s? or is it like a smaller side box? or is it like a ridiculously under sized box for them? lol Rear chambers are ported, about 5 cubes each right now. So a bit undersized...if I shrink them down I bet I'll play a bit flatter but I'll lose some overall efficiency. We'll see how everything is with the loading wall and properly sealed off before I start messing with any of that though. Idk how I haven't seen this build but sucks to hear about the sub I tend to fly under the radar haha yeah its a bumber but it happens, live and learn I guess ....updates coming now! mrd6 Posted June 10, 2013 Author Report Posted June 10, 2013 Finally got the other xl reconed... Then finished getting the other side enclosure ready and rebuilt my loading wall with a center port and put the front plate on and installed the reconed xl Started on my front port insert... cleaned it up a bit and hit it with a 3/4" roundover Then a test fit...like a glove! mrd6 Posted June 10, 2013 Author Report Posted June 10, 2013 So I drilled holes for the bolts to hold it on and put the threaded inserts into the loading wall. Then filled the screw holes of the port piece and put a layer of resin on it. Then sanded and smoothed it out, painted it, and wrapped my trim pieces... So thats all for now, I wanted to get the above installed last weekend but I couldn't find the right vinyl for the wall face anywhere locally so I am waiting for that now...apparently the grey color of my interior is very rare haha My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
