RooTxBeeR Posted May 4, 2012 Report Share Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) So I made a topic in mids/high asking about running active. So this is how the set up will look. RF T1 comp sets front and back. I would have a 4 channel amp to power just woofers, then another to power just tweeters. Either choosing T400.4 or T600.4 to do the job as the 2 amps. And 2 12" skarr VVX-12's on a T1500.1bd. Now how would I be able to get it so I can have a HPF on the tweeters, a bandpass on the woofers and a LPF on the subs. I know the 360.3 could fulfill that no problem, just want to know if there is anything else out there that's not going to kill my pocket. But please throw any and all out there that can do what I an looking to achieve. I looked at quite many crossovers but all only allowed me to just run a HPF on front and rear channel, I need another to do HPF and LPF to a seperate channel for front and rear. ROLEXrifleman Posted May 4, 2012 Report Share Posted May 4, 2012 I'm half asleep reading this but from the looks of things it seems you are gonna have to run the front two channels as all pass feeding a 2 way passive cross over speced out to the cross over points you want. That fact that you want band pass up front with minimal channels available is the killer. In other words your asking the few channels of power you got to do variety of tasks. Hope that helps. The 3Sixty.3 could do this no problem, but youd have a stereo channel left over. What deck do you have? It may have active processing built in. Im doing something similar to you, but im using a Rockford 3Sixty.2 Also, whats your budget? You wont be able to find anything good if your budget is low. Believe me, before I got my 3Sixty..I looked around.. Around here the Audison BitTen is around half the price but I can't tell the differens between them in retail price at your location. 904slumpin Posted May 9, 2012 Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 can he just run his tweets on high pass on amp, and run the passive crossovers that came with them?. and run the 6.5s on the mid amp on full pass with the crossover it comes with.. only thing is youd have to somehow find 2 other crossovers that came with the components and i dont know if rockford sells them by themself. but if you run them on the same amp you can simply use the passive that it comes with..\ CORRECT? or would an active setup work better? can you run active and passive at the same time with no problems?.. id figure it would work better at eliminating hatever freq. you dont want.
