Wicks
Fuck dont tease us show it!! What did you do to those holes? They look nice! Soon, very soon...... Thx, bought a set of metal countersinking bits for my drill press. After I drilled the holes, I lightly hit them with the countersink bit to clean them up. I needed the countersinking bits for a part of the upcoming unveil I've got. More pics coming......... Chris Hammer
What countersinking bit did you get? looks like it works great. I have tried several ones form Home Depot. They just piss me off they suck so bad. Even in a drill press. I usually just use a large pointed bit to clean the edge of the hole now. Wicks
What countersinking bit did you get? looks like it works great. I have tried several ones form Home Depot. They just piss me off they suck so bad. Even in a drill press. I usually just use a large pointed bit to clean the edge of the hole now. OK, might was well give out a couple pics. I needed to flush mount some tapered M6 bolts in this aluminum bar so I bought three of these bits (5/8" in the pic) and they worked pretty good. They clogged up a little with excess aluminum and needed to be cleaned out during the process but it worked. The trick is keeping everything perfectly lined up and applying even pressure otherwise the bit will jump around in the hole and give you a rough edge. Here's a link to the bit: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ryobi-SpeedLoad-Plus-1-2-in-High-Speed-Steel-Countersink-A10CS07/202070837#.UWxew8rIt8E I was hoping for a countersink bit with a 6mm pilot drill bit all in one but that was a little hard to find. So you just have to drill a separate hole first and then hit it with the countersink bit afterwards. scooter99
Hey should I be buying special bits for my drill press or will any do? Never owned one before so this is my first one. SoundFreakk
In my case drill bits just fit in there to, so not really special bits for drill press. drill press and drill are the same bits so would work on both.
