So what do you need to do then? Wet down the MDF, then put the matt or cloth on and wet it down some more? why didn't it stick?

Yep, need to wet the MDF quite a bit more.

It was dry and the cloth setup too quickly so it didn't adhere to the MDF fully.

It wouldn't have had much structural strength so I had to rip it off....

I'm in between updates at the moment so based on recent requests, here's some filler:

My two beasts, side by side:

I think I've posted this one before in this thread but its worth showing again.

This is how you ride a sportbike 420 miles to Sturgis SD :D

(No, my back and forearms do not like me after that ride...not at all)

Playing with some effects:

Another effect:

Adding two effects on top of each other give it an even more cartoonish look:

Nice pictures!

I'm surprised it wasant fucked with at sturgis, there's some Harley guys who with enough beer in them wouldn't even bat an eye to a group of people throwing a jap bike in a dumpster, lol.

That's what keeps me from taking my yammie out there for bike week!

I hate long signatures....

I love that year R1...not a fan of the newer bikes looks really, I like the cbr's look but I bleed red so that might have something to do with it...lol I have a CB1000RA

Yeah, Sturgis is commercialized enough that nobody is going to mess with your stuff.

With 500,000 people there, there's bound to be a witness and plenty of cops and security guys to keep things mellow.

Besides there's thousands of Japanese cruisers there as well (Goldwings, etc) so it'd be pretty lame to just pick on one type of bike, but it is something to keep your eye out for.

I did have a carburetor issue 2 years ago though where I had to push my bike back to my campsite which was NOT fun at all.....

So I had at least a dozen Harley guys roll by my and shout "GET A HARLEY!!!".

As if a clogged up carburetor had anything to do with it being Japanese........

I'm sure most Harleys nowadays have plenty of components that are sourced from China that the owners don't know about.

Anyways, its a hell of a good time. You should definitely go and check it out. :good:
