Wicks
BEAUTIFUL job on that rear deck! Thanks!!! Dang man, car's coming around great. Hell your gonna have a whole new car soon, cause you keep replacing stuff. Thanks, yeah there's a good portion of the car that is new/different or modified...still got lots to do though Thanks for the help! did you get your stuff back in the trunk yet? i wanna seee videosssss! btw, im not sure if u answered this already, but no mids in the rear? gonna run full front stage? what's the plan? or do your hertz keep up with the dc's? also, what song are you playing in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LW0SpOMdck Nope, trunk is still empty. Sorry guys, its cooling off into the 30's here in Colorado so its a bit chilly to be loading up my trunk in the dark. My mission for Saturday though is to load everything in and try out the new port. So soon hopefully, I'll have some results! Yep, no mids in the rear deck anymore. They didn't blend well with what I was planning for the port and I decided on all front stage. I don't need the car pro-audio loud (not that there is anything wrong with that) and I plan on dabbling with SQ, so no rear fill needed. My HSK130 Hertz's have been keeping up with the DC XL12's pretty well so far and I plan on upgrading to my HSK165's soon. That will bump me from 5.25" mids to 6.5". Nothing major obviously, but if I still don't have enough mids, I can always run both the HSK130's AND HSK165's. Plus don't forget about my ES200 8" subs that I have as well. I'd love to integrate those in the mix.....if I can find room??? Ahhh, that song in the video was DJ Magic Mike - Bass Bowl - Bassin' After Midnight. I played around with some test tones and whatnot, but there's just something about that song that my car loves and gave me a good extra 0.5 - 1dB on the meter. Plus it has a really great "surprise" bass drop that would work great in demos. I'll definitely have to video some of that in the future. Yeah you don't want to have anything sitting on/rubbing against the deck lid, it can flatten/wear super easy. But flocking is deff fun, when I saw the gun and everything set up in your garage I winced a little bit, that shit gets EVERYWHERE lol Yeah I was thinking that it would be MUCH easier to flock my fiberglass panel around my baffle opening, but the rear seat would be rubbing on it and with it being actuated, there would be a lot of back and forth which would probably give me some wear marks. So I'm going to have to wrap it in vinyl. Ohhh man those super fine flocking fibers do go everywhere. My garage is such a DUSTY mess right now that I don't even care. I was dumb enough too that I wanted to check how well the fibers were adhered to the deck lid so I blew on it up close...........POOOOOF, face full of loose fibers. and no vids yet Sorry Dude, soon hopefully soon. Haven't had a chance to toss all the equipment back in.
