OK, for real...here's the new flocking color:

563-rustflocking_zpsbc63ff83.jpg

Pretty close match to the interior. :good:

Now where to put it...........? :ninja:

Some other small updates.

Drawing out the design for a trim panel over the 5K. Using 1/2" plywood since I couldn't find any decent thinner MDF.

564-amptrimpanelplanning_zpsc0065df6.jpg

Cutting a new fuse cover panel, this time using a tapered router bit rather then a round-over, just to change things up a bit.

Fuse panel in place.

With some primer.

Then testing some black textured bed-liner paint.

I doubt I'll be about to wrap this negative corner in vinyl so I'll probably paint this side of it and then add some wrapped trim panels over most of it.

This is probably the 4th of 5th attempt at this corner of the trunk where my fuse panel is.

Sorry for it taking this long but there is literally no room in this corner at all.....

For reference, I have the following crammed in this tiny little area:

-12 runs of 1/0 cable for everything in the car.

-All the wiring for my Punch200, along with its hinged mounting rack assembly.

-XP3000

-LED wiring

-RCAs

-4 runs of 8ga cable for the subs.

-12" actuator

-factory power wire and fuse panel.

Here's basically a pic of the mess that's underneath this fuse cover panel:

:trippy:

Might take a little while to get everything to fit properly but I'll get it done.

Test fit of the trim panel around my DC5K.

I like that trim panel over the 5k. Looks good.

I'm in love with the fuse panel. I bought fuse holders, but I'm still considering using this idea.

That is quite a mess you go there, but I have faith you can put it all together.

Why not flock it instead of vinyl? Or is that the outside you're talking about?

Hey... what part of Colorado are you in? I would love to check this out in person.

Down in Parker.

Sure thing, its not quite demo ready at the moment (no highs amp / needs some work on some rattles / etc), but hopefully in the near future we can meet up.

Where you at?

Hey Jamie, do you have a line going in on the right side of the fuse holder, the solid bar side? Just on top of one of the fuses, or do you have a dedicated fused input from the battery? Just wondering, cause I didn't see anything all together but I might have missed it.

Yeah, all my power lines into the fuse block are fused.

I have a power run from my alternator that's fused and comes into the top of the fuse block.

I also have the factory power run also fused which runs to the fuse block. Figured I might as well use that copper as well since its already there.

Plus a fused line each for both batteries.

I was going to label all the power runs to make it more clear, even for myself since all those wires can get confusing, especially when everything is covered up and you cant see where the cable is running.

I can label it and snap a picture for everybody to show how its all wired up.
