why no active crossovers any more

Recommended Posts

why is it that I hardly ever see a good active crossover any more ? Back in the early 90s all good company's had an active cross over . even a 2 way for around 100 bucks and now unless you spend 4 to 5 hundred for a 360.x or a BIT. whatever you cant get real crossovers

As Hunter mentioned most amps come with crossovers. It's very easy to eliminate an item when it's only purpose is now included in something else. With adjustable crossovers built into HUs and most good amps, the need for standalone crossovers isn't what it used to be.

the limitations of a built in crossover are great but ill start with a slime one true bandpass operation on both mid, woofer and sub woofer
