I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.

if you were to measure down the inside of the port, the effective port length would be shorter. likewise, if you were to measure down the outside of the port, it would be longer. measuring down the middle of the width of the port gives you an accurate measurement.

So on your calculator the length you put in for the port would be the measurement down the middle of the port and the physical port length is the inside of the wall? Take a look at my forum please..

haha i like how you link to that thread, and that thread links to here lol

No it goes to a thread i started yesterday, i need help because i want to put 45's in the bend of the port for my box and i was wondering if it would change the calculations on you program like the tuning freq or the port area since the bend in the port is actually wider from the corner of the box to the corner of the port wall.

45's don't change anything, as long as you make them the right size

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!
