my tweets (a-pillar) are set at 10k as are my 3 in midranges (kickpanel) because that's how I think it sounds best.

I thought I was setting it "full range" per instructions 'Setting the gain of a full range amplifier' in the manual?

Most tweets run 3.5k(some lower)and above.....you're losing output and have a BIG gap where you're not hearing things you should be.

not sure how that's possible when as I said my mid ranges I have playing up to 10k. Since said midranges are in my kick panels the 3k-10k range isn't so close to my face, hence, not so harsh. I'm still hearing those frequencies.

Thats very high for a midrange to play. I have 80Hz to 4000k playing through my mids and highpass at 4000k for the highs. Also you dont want the tweeters set with the dd-1 at the full gain position the dd-1 will show no distortion at. The tweeters will be overpowered most of the time unless you are using a small amp for your speakers but if you are using a large amp like i am for the mids and highs you will want to set the gain for the tweeters with the dd-1 first then play a song with a ton of treble to it and turn the gain down until the tweeters stop making like a hissing noise when cymbals are struck or anything high frequency like that. But your x-overs are setup completely wrong thats for sure.

You guys don't seem to read very well. He's running a 4 way set up. Which means most likely he has sub-midbass-midrange-tweeter. Really don't know why that was so hard to comprehend.

Op I'd just set it at the 1k and if they scream at you turn it down to a level you like.

even for a midrange that still seems high but whatever.
