CLNSHVNnDRAGGN
I never go less than 3/4" MDF. With how small the box for that would be (especially if you're going sealed) it won't be very heavy to begin with. www.facebook.com/BILLatDivineCreationsPhoto He was taunting me. He's all like "come at me bro!" So I'm like "I'm coming at you bro!" And he's like "hey, fuck you" *chomp*. Then I killed it. I win. ^^^ you have truly taken being a lazy fuck to a new level tonight, an MRE. WOW
Bigsix
Id use the good ol, standard 3/4, but you could probably get away with 1/2 for 1 p1 10 IMO. if you are really worried about weight, might be worth looking into making it out of 'glass. 1999 Lincoln Town Car-(build underway) - (2) SA15s, 4th order, DAT 2500.1, O2 mids n highs, 250a alt, HC 2400, Big 3.... 1994 Pontiac T/A for speeding tickets.- - Currently on jack stands, wanting to be a real race car "Your local forecast, all the ladies in the metro area should expect to see 8 inches tonight" - The Todd Decaf, on 01 November 2011 - 02:38 PM, said: i provide the ammo for destruction, the trigger finger is connected to the volume knob tho URBAN GORILLA AUDIO

fecupe2001
If he´s gonna build at the spare tire area, he definitely needs to use small wood (depending on the car of course) , and if he´s asking about the thickness then i geuss this is the case, my boys adviced you 3/4 mdf and birch and they are absolutely right, those are the best options, but if you don´t have room for that, then yes, you can go with 1/2" thickness , also, you can always brace it or use some fiberglass in order to make it stronger, go ahead and built it using 1/2" it´s my advice I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. JesseyMclame
Buddy of mine had an old school mtx, (not sure which model), in a box built with 1/2" MDF. Sounded great. Crandis16
Only if you're thinking of doing a high-powered build should you think about doing a double layer and glassing, otherwise 3/4 should work just fine My Red zx2 Build Log My Black zx2 Build Log My Red zx2 UBL
