TeamHirshAudio Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 A kerf does not increase decibels to me.. They are weaker than a strait up 90 degree corner and I just do not like them.

sundown-e21 Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 how come on an aero-port, once you flare it, there is less wind noise (turbulence)? 1983 Bmw 320i 5 speed 251000 miles on it Sundown SA-12d2 Big 3 Optima 75-25 Jensen hlx600 150x4 amp Hifonics BRZ-1200.1D for sub in a 1.7ft^3 ~33hz ported box Pioneer USB stereo Bass knob integrated into old fading switch (Sneaky) Lowered on H&R sport springs with bilstein sport shocks (2" drop and handles like a dream) Leave him be. RooTxBeeR Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Went from 154.4 to 153.7 after adding 45's from top to bottom and across the top in my 2 18" wall setup. I'll stick with the added/extra airspace for now on. That's where you went wrong. When adding 45's you don't want them in every corner. You only want them in the Initial bends of the port if you are to use them. Edit: how come on an aero-port, once you flare it, there is less wind noise (turbulence)? this to? RooTxBeeR Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 I don't know but if he really tested it and it did then well damn. And yes I was referring to only having 45's inside any corner of the port, so if you have 1 bend, 1 45, 2 bends, 2 45's and so on.
