Bump4life
yep! well my father originally purchased this car and he bought it as an extra option ( thank god). n8 you have experience with F motors right? what kinda airspace, port area, port per cube should i be looking at for these 10s? considering each will be on 1500-1700 rms Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. n8ball2013
well its not so much your net its your gross. remember DDs like being on the higher end of the scale for port area. think around the 16 sq in per range. For daily I dont think id go a whole lot more than that. maybe 17 at most. thats going to eat up an enormous amount of space especially if you try to tune low. mrd6
net is after displacements, he was saying gross is the issue because with that much port area, the port will take alot of the "gross" box volume Quote My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
Bump4life
net is after displacements, he was saying gross is the issue because with that much port area, the port will take alot of the "gross" box volume yea that is true. ive been playing with numbers. it does take a lot? anyone have any idea though any range what i should be looking at? i know DD recs 1.5 cubes net and 24 sq in of port and 16 in per cube. does anyone have any opinions or results on what works. I know my car is different but Im just trying to get as much output out of this enclosure and with little box rise so i get the most power out of my amps. On another note, does anyone wnat to design me a cool box? i have bass box pro and torres of course. but if anyone has time and wants to sketch something up that would be cool. i just want to see what other people would come up with and compare to my designs to see if we on similiar pages. max dims are 13.5 h 34.5 width and 23 depth. if you can make the box shallower that would be awesome! height and width are locked. maybe something like this box? http://www.stevemead...0d-trunk-build/ Edited May 22, 2012 by Bump4life Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. Bump4life
Ok so I got creative with my box design ideas. Waah lah, I can fit 2 12s. Ill be giving them around 2.5 net a piece. Mario just so happens to be selling 2 6 inch PVC pipes. Im thinking about picking up to use. I need some help with this box design. I don't know anything about aeros. I searched through the forums and to see what others have done, it seems 2 6 inchs or 1 8 inch is the way to go with 2 12s. Is this true? What kinda port area should I be looking at with Aeros? Is it good for daily bumping. I want to be as loud as I can daily tuned at around 37 hz. Advice would be awesome por favor Quote Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. SPL KID
From what i'm looking at you have circular openings in the rear deck into the cabin. Depending on the angle of your rear window you should be able to load of that window to the front dash. What i'm saying you could do is build a box long ways for 2 10 facing thru that deck ported perhaps. It would have to start over the shock towers and bellow that box you could make your amp/extra battery enclosure. Should leave you a fair amount of trunk space and help your score out some. Take a couple measurements of that pictured area between the shock towers and above them. Since everyone thinks you have a gas tank there could become a lethal stealth design...
