bmxscion Posted August 22, 2012 Report Share Posted August 22, 2012 6K stock headlight housings, 3K in stock fog housings. headlighs are Bi-xenon, but for some reason the high beam function would never work, even after "switching the polarity" on the plug that was recommended by the company, HID Xtra or something like that. I have had to adjust them quite a bit because I was getting flashed a lot when I first installed them and I couldn't flash back with the highs not ever working properly. I don't have any night pics and can't get any now due to being out of the country at the moment. Get lower temp bulbs. 6k or 8k should be the highest. Not a single projection housing in this thread so far. ONLY way to fix is a projector retrofit or some ebay projectors (which are actually designed for halogen bulbs)Told you I would upgrade when I got the chance ... Just had other priorities that needed to be done first ... So ... Here we go !!! I bought stock replacements ... Worked great !!! Until time for an upgrade !!! Got me some HID projectors !!! Installed the projectors for a test fit ... and got impatient ... set them bad boys in the truck to see what was going on ... So we went for a night in Vicksburg, and while she was in the Casino ... Me and Mike from Hyper met up to mess with the lights ... Not bad for a throw together setup without lenses to block the glares ... Yes, these projectors ARE for HID lights and they are set up to work on low and high beams !!! So I will have these AND my origional Green High Beams going at the same time, but there will be white HIDs in the projectors ... At this time, we have no white HIDs in stock ... So for now, we are using Pink HIDs that someone ordered and never picked up ... ... and actually looks better than I would have ever imagined !!! We have more work done to them with Fiberglass Resin ... I will post those pics as soon as possible !!!
