varietyguy
I've been pondering this for a while. The threshold of our atmosphere is 194 db. 20 years ago people thought 160's were impossible, 10 years ago 180's were impossible. Since cars are doing mid 180's does anyone believe that a 194 + is possible? Honestly I believe that they will plateau around 190db, and if I am correct isn't this around the point when you can visually see shock waves. 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/
Noobtastic14
A "sound wave" is different than a "shock wave" a concussion blast is extremely loud but doesn't act like a sound wave. how high will we get? with more power, better woofers, and building knowledge on burp cars I'm sure it will end up loud as shit. -Drew I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Emmet
Im sure they'll get close, 194 db is only the threshold for sustained sound, an instantaneous pressure pulse could go much higher, say an nuclear warhead. Like we think being heard a mile away is loud but when krakatoa erupted in 1883 it was heard 3000 miles away. Thats pretty much thought to be the loudest sound on earth so far. i shook this one kids hand and it just folded in mine. long story short i fucked his girlfriendso.. yeah.. 9515ROB
well they finally got a new meter that will read over 180db more accurately and can read over 183db. Which people have been bitching for years the TL is not accurate over 180db and needs to be updated. Thats why Hal Shocker just hit 185db about a month ago - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF
