SkateMike519
It is grounded to sheet metal inside the trunk. It seems to be a decent thickness of sheet metal. Paint not sanded. Grr..Maybe I just fucked up. Still under warranty though.. 2 - Sundown Audio SA-12 D4 (Box tuned to 34 hrz) 1 - RF t1500.1bdcp 1 - RF t400.4 2 - JL Audio C5 5 1/4 in front doors 2 - JL Audio C5 570 in rear deck 2 - JL Audio ZR100 in front pillars 1 - Kenwood ExCelon HU
SkateMike519
Currently in the process of rewiring the grounds. I will update ya'll later. I already made arrangements to send back the amp. I just want to know if I do get it working, should I just keep it? It smoked a bit but it wasn't insane amounts of smoke. 2 - Sundown Audio SA-12 D4 (Box tuned to 34 hrz) 1 - RF t1500.1bdcp 1 - RF t400.4 2 - JL Audio C5 5 1/4 in front doors 2 - JL Audio C5 570 in rear deck 2 - JL Audio ZR100 in front pillars 1 - Kenwood ExCelon HU

sprkn_ranger
If you already made arrangements then just send it back, there still may have been something wrong with the amp. But the ground should be fixed by sanding it to bare metal. Rebel4055
Just saying now that with a 2 gauge ground and a improper ground location more than likely contributed to it. Rest In Peace mother. SkateMike519
Nah wiring was all exact. 99% sure subs wired parallel to get 1 ohm out of amp. Even if something was wrong with the sub wiring, it wouldn't cause the amp to start smoking in about 2 mins of being on. Would it? The subs never moved once. 2 - Sundown Audio SA-12 D4 (Box tuned to 34 hrz) 1 - RF t1500.1bdcp 1 - RF t400.4 2 - JL Audio C5 5 1/4 in front doors 2 - JL Audio C5 570 in rear deck 2 - JL Audio ZR100 in front pillars 1 - Kenwood ExCelon HU
bassface
That sucks man. Seems like you shorted something, but if you say you didnt then must be a bad amp.
