varietyguy Posted June 3, 2012 Report Posted June 3, 2012 I've been messing around on Torres and Bassbox Pro 6 but I cannot figure out the port frequency - port area. It'd be helpful if someone could help. Box is for 3 Rockford P2 10's on 1600w in a Kia Soul. Trying to tune to 35 hz Max dimensions are: 42 wide 17 height 13.5 long Subs can face up or back port up or back. Not trying to get a design but wanted to give all info. My problem is at 4.36 cubes Torres calls for 52 -70 sq inches of port. I can't get above 40 sq inches (9.7 per cube) without being tuned at 40 hz plus. ???? 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/

After driver displacement, you have 4.1 cuft, and you still have to subtract port displacement. Port area and box volume are not related. If I have the right sub, the Xmax is 11mm? If that is correct, 40-45 sqin should be enough port area. Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz.

External Enclosure Parts: Front = 38 1/4 x 15 1/2 Back = 42 x 15 1/2 Left & Right Sides: Side 1 = 12 x 15 1/2 Side 2 = 12 3/4 x 15 1/2 Top & Bottom = 42 x 13 1/2 L Port Internal Assembly Parts: Front to Back = 9 x 15 1/2 Extension = 7 3/4 x 15 1/2
