RooTxBeeR
So since I have started this hobby I never really had a good cash flow coming in. So I always looked up cheaper things. Put together this list of parts that would be a nice budget system, not exceed 1000 watts so no need for electrical upgrades. If there is severe voltage drop, big 3 would be in order, but from car to car it may vary. I want everyone's opinion on this as a budget build. The list will consist of front/rear speakers, 4 channel amp, mono amp, wiring kit and all things alike needed, sub, and sub box. The only thing that I never really look at is HU's, so as far as that goes, I don't know any that are good for the money. Here is the list. Also as an FYI, I would be recommending this to people if anyone local came to me for a system installation. I say this because for some beginners may prefer a coaxial set over a comp set if they do not have tweeter location, because they might not want to fabricate them. If I where to do an installation, I would fabricate all this into the vehicle to make it work as necessary. Speakers! Front http://www.sonicelec...ME-R1652-S.html The coaxial version is another $20 more(if you'd prefer in your own build, said just as a reference) Rear http://www.sonicelec...RIME-R1693.html Amps! Sub http://www.sonicelec...rt-FX1.600.html Mid/High http://www.sonicelec...rt-ONX4.60.html Wiring and Interconnects Wiring kit that comes with 1 RCA http://www.sonicelec...n-PAK48.2R.html Extra sets of RCA's since ^^^^ comes with 1, need front/rear/sub http://www.sonicelec...l?from=3-700-53 Head Units! http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_42912_JVC-KD-R730BT.html ($149.99, not included in final prices below) I left the sub selection for last since it really is dependent on what you/customer would or could work with. Things that I would consider for it are http://www.skaraudio...l?category_id=8 Skar Audio IVX Series http://www.sundownau...l?category_id=2 Sundown Audio E Series http://www.ddaudio.c...500-series.aspx Digital Designs 500 Series Those are only a few but the main subs I would recommend for those price ranges. Then only other thing would be the cost of materials for a box, which depending on price of wood at your location and time, anywhere from 55-75 dollars for silicone/wood/screws/glue. From all this you are looking at these types of figures (I got $422.81 for all of SE.Com stuff in the cart, with free shipping to just outside Chicago) $400-$440 for all of SE.Com, prices vary from time to time $55-$75 in box materials $130-$300 based on number and size of woofers (If on tight budget, I would suggest a single 15 or even a 18(18 has more cone area than 2 12's) but if your wallet has a tiny bit of a stretch 2 12's or 2 15's) $485-$815 in total for a full system excluding a Head Unit If voltage drop is an issue http://www.sonicelec...-BLUE-20FT.html 20' 4awg Xscorpion power wire for the Big 3 $40 at the time of my search !!!Optional!!! Along with all that, optional PAC-LC1, Clarion EQ. http://www.sonicelec...t%5BIgnore%5D=1 $17 at the time of my visit http://www.sonicelec...t%5BIgnore%5D=1 $70 at the time of my visit, I have seen at $55 before On 11/20/2012 at 8:54 PM, AMI CUSTOMS said: Turned mine up today at a light, guy next to me his steering wheel started moving and he looked over at me like I was a magician lol. bassface
You can sometimes find brand new decks on this site for cheap. I look there occasionally because you never know what the cops will confiscate. http://www.propertyroom.com/c/electronics_car-electronics.
