JasonJones Posted June 12, 2012 Report Share Posted June 12, 2012 will be doing 5 for Iasca so I can stay in stock suv 1-260 which is the class im in now. probably all 5 facing back and huge aero to the back. and for db drag events 8 facing up and port up as well. Havent really thought anything else yet as the woofers are not here and I ned to order more wire from Shok and my dual inputs for the ns1 i need all the current I can get to the ns1 only running 2 batteries Not to hate or anything, but that amount of charging current/battery bank won't do it for the NS-1. That thing will draw over 900a of current. In the classes you're competing in is there a battery limit? Cuz I'd be afraid of roasting that beast with such little electrical backing. Anyways I purchased my sa-8s back in January I think and by February I was sending 1 of them back because it was making a clapping noise at high volume. I know they aren't over powered and they sound great. I believe sundown re cones the one and sent it back it still sounds great well now the other fucking sub is doing the same thing... I am running a Rockford bd1000 at 1 ohm off a stock alt. It's REALLY noticeable if the mids and highs are off. I know this is big favor to ask but could you turn your mids and highs off open your hatch and see if you get that same sound?? You are throwing more power at these monsters then me so I have no idea why it's doing that.. A song I really noticed it on was "faded" by tyga. Thanks Lizzie! Im not a pro but that would be my guess from the experience I have. Its supposed to be fused with 600 amps? . This build is thouroughly thought through the amp will be ran at .5 for comp and 2 ohm daily. BassBarbie Posted June 13, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 13, 2012 Russians tested the Ns1 on a single stinger 2250 and got 8k or so out of the amp. d3100 and the 3400 up front is more than sufficient. there are 2 runs to the back and frame grounds that are all done right not ghetto like most. Also a dc power custom 270 alt which does around 300 amps.
