well than can you explain what the comparison difference of a single 15 sa vs z v.3 and 2 12 sa vs 2 12 z v.3 because your not making any valid point other than you prefer the sa model if everyone could get louder with sa why would they make bigger lines? the z vs sa is not a match 19mm xmax on the sa doesnt come close to the z v.3 and the z has alot more motor force. the test i posted above is valid proof the z can be louder than the sa.

So then with this said why not just go with a pair of Nightshade 12's then? They are no doubt going to have the potential to be much louder than the Z's, not to mention that you have the power to make them do so.

I think with your application that 2 high end woofers are going to be louder than 2 middle of the road ones, but if you were going to be running more subs and the same amount of power then going with the middle of the road sub is going to be the better choice for higher spl.

So it's settled then, Nightshades for you

the nightshade is not going to have much more potential than the Z's. At the max/high end they nightshades have .5db gain thats it.

Whatever you need to tell yourself to justify buying the Z's instead of the Nightshades. I'm sure you've never ran a pair of Nightshades so spouting off at the mouth looking like an uneducated fanboy is the last thing you need to do to try and make your point.

Now as for me I've personally ran the Nightshades from the first run of the woofer to the V2. I've also done real world testing for Jake in my vehicle in a direct swap situation and know what the difference is between the two. In a direct swap from 2 NS V2 to the Z V3 the Nightshade was 1.6 db louder off a pair of 3500d's. Pretty far away from the .5 db that your boasting. That power is very similar to the power that she is going to be here so I don't want to hear a damn thing about not enough power this or that.

I honestly get sick of know it all forum trolls trying to argue with real life facts. I'm not the type of person to throw random bullshit out there without anything else to back it up. From what ive been told the z v.3 is a better woofer all around than the ns v.1 and v.2 now the ns v.3 should be a different story but they wont be coming in 12s

Again, I don't know what you've heard but each situation is vehicle and enclosure specific. I guarantee you that a pair of NS V2's will be at least a db louder with the right box over a pair of Zv3's. I've done the testing to justify the claim. I did watch the video that you put up with the sa swap to the Z swap and like you said if everyone could get super loud off of the sa why would they make the higher end lines. Well, that is the case with the Nightshade as well. With a properly broken in Nightshade or even one with a softer suspension the power that you have is more than sufficient and only about a thousand watts less than what I ran in my car for 2 years.

Like I told you before I'm a personal friend of Jake's and have done testing and qc for him on some of his products. My car has been used as a guinee pig for quite a few of his creations and I wouldn't make a suggestion to you if I didn't fully think that was the right thing to do. But some people gotta learn on their own, however I'm glad I listened to the vets in the sport that helped me out when I first got serious about competition. It has helped me to the 2 NSPL titles that I've won and probably wouldn't be there had I not followed their examples

the nightshade does have a higher potential, but its all relative. it will only be louder, maybe, if you put more power to it. other wise it wont be able to reach its optimum excursion for output. so the reason to upgrade is to run more power.

You're making extremely great progress, have nice equipment to match, you definitely know what you're doing when it comes to install, and it's always good to have a female touch to the male dominated world of bassheads. I'm definitely tuned in for this build.

I've always wondered if that type of connection would conduct the same as straight wiring to amp. I'm sure there's probably some difference but I have never tested it myself.

Certainly looks nice and functional for changing your wiring quickly.
