The easiest way to derive this is drafting software such as autocad or the following formula: (n-2)X1800 where n is the number of sides you want. Example for 8 sides we have (8-2) X 180 = 10800 . Now we are dealing with 8 sides so 1080/8 = 1350 . To get the angle of cut we divide 135/2 = 67.50 Another example for 6 sides we have (6-2)X180 = 7200 and 720/6 = 1200. Therefor the angle of each cut is 120/2 = 600. Hope this helps you all....

A saw blade is vertical, 90deg from the horizontal. Tilt that blade 22.5 deg from vertical to cut the angles to form the octagon. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
