Help me Sketch This Design (2 Havoc 12's)

Came up with these numbers for a pair of Havoc 12's. The physical port length is throwing me off. If physical port length is 23", then it shouldn't have to bend, but the "port bends" box says YES.

It is a center port design.

The port would have to bend. Typo?

I'm on on mobile and the calc is small so I may have misread.

I think Torres calc is confused. The port ends 2.75" from the back wall, and shouldn't need a bend after end correction.

You are going to choke your port if it ends that close. You should always try to keep your port the width of the port away from the back wall

1.5" baffle + 23" physical port length + 2.75" (distance from centerline of port to port edge) + 1.375" width of turn + .75" (width of port wall) = 29 3/8"

Will end correction make up for the lost 5/8"? Does it even matter?

I think I figured it out, just had to talk it out. LOL

And to piggy back off n8, the more room you have between the end of the port and back wall the better. Both for spl and quality of sound, in my experience.

Ehh center port is something I never tried but I can give it a shot! LOL

If it bends yes. You were saying it doesn't bend. That's what I was going off

See Nate, thats the dilemma. If I bend it at 5.5", it goes against that theory.

Technically, it does bend, but for only 3/4". The width of the port wood.
