500$ for 2 15" that can take 1000 to 1500 watts each. is it doable?

I'm not sure about the prices, but Skar's 1500watt line might be able to meet your budget?

what model is that?

only up for preorder right now but they seem to be out of your budget if you want to only spend $500. preorder is probably more expensive though and if you order from a skar representative then they will give you better deals through them, plus if you order more then one you can generally get a better deal.

with impedance rise they probably won't even see 1500 each anyway, i think if you send it really clean power, you can get away with the obsidians. you can always readjust your gains.

It's this simple

Single 4 ohm final setup will get 750

Single 2 ohm final 1500

Dual 4 ohm, 2 ohm final750 each 1500 total

Either get a single sub that can handle 750 or 1500 and pick the ohms to match you power

If you get a single sub good for 750 you can get another down the track if need be,
