EricM9104
Well...... Most ya'll know that when you open a window or door in your vehicle while bumpin, it sounds louder right? Hopefully I'm right with that I'm about to say, if not, correct me. Well, with the car doors/windows closed, it'd cause standing waves to form inside right? and with those standing waves, it'd cause wave cancellation whereas with the windows/doors open the waves can travel and sounds louder. mrwigglezdj
dont know but sounds good to me, most call it cabin gain, i see it as the cab beinf part of a bandpass box and the windows are the ports, when you cover the ports it kills the sound and when you open then it lets out all the sound, if i could figure out bandpass designs, i would use the cab and window size as port and box inclueded Quote Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets
thegr8cody
i believe it has to do with how sound waves work a sound wave is a change in air movement or something like that not sure how to say it. so i beleive with the windows up it cancels out or minimizes air movement so im guessing it restricts the waves to reach there full potential? not sure if that sounded right lol Quote 1998 gmc sierra h/u:eclipse cd3200 sub:dd9518g d1.5 amp:jl e300/4 sub amp:dd m2a front stage:id ctx65cs dc power 270 alt lots of kicker 1/
