4 gauge or 0?

4 or 0 would work iv been down the same path and brandonlearL7 GET RID OF THE CAP THEY ARE CRAP they r just another thing to drain power from the battery

personally i would go with 0 gauge more room to grow but also agree with HHR

yeah i did used to have one thats were some of the experience comes from and that watching mutiple videos on what cap actually do and i got rid of it

Dude please stop, you don't know what your talking about and your confusing the OP, you can listen and learn as well. OP, go with the biggest wire you can, bigger wire lower resistance= more power like everyone has said. Thats why when people do the big 3 in o gauge you hear their responses as less voltage drop, no dimming headlights, etc. Bigger in wire is always better. I would use the biggest you can, then go to a distribution block and then to the amp. Only use the block if your amp can't handle that wire size. You can probably get away with the stock battery but upgrading would obviously be better. For example if your amp handles 4 gauge and the wire you go with is 1/0 use these:

Whatever wire gauge you select is simply a limit from the moment you install it. While a smaller gauge may suffice in your application (4 or 2) I would recommend running 0 gauge the first time.

i said all that because i heard it from a professional which is why he chose the 2 gauge for the giveaway instead of the 0 gauge so im going off of what iv heard when u guys are going off what you probably think is best, BTW what the fuck does grammar have to do with this forum its about car audio so quite your bitching, and this topic is about wire gauge which is best not about who has good grammar and for pointing that out do you want a fucking cookie and if you do you can go back to school and the teacher can give you one and to me this is like texting so i will most likely use txt language so eat shit bashing
