I.V
my d975s which are in the back of my jimmy seem to be doing the same thing (not major swelling but they are not FLUSH ) i dunno they never see over 90 degrees and alt charges @ 14.6 for about 2 minutes then once engine is hot voltage drops to about 14.2 i also bought all 4 of my batts from audiosavings... id take a pic post it then contact xs power audiosavings is a hassle to get anything replaced took them 2 weeks to finnaly send my 2 sets of components that i bought used (stated new on ebay) but ur battery works good or any change n the volts If you are only seeing 1cm, then more than likely that is just normal. A brand new battery will have a small curve to it right out of the box. This isn't due to swelling it is because of the reinforced casing of the battery. Swelling occurs because of a few things. One is overcharging. If the battery is charged at a higher voltage than what is recommended it can cause the battery to swell. Second is too much heat on the battery. This really only happens in under the hood applications where the engine is producing a lot of heat. This can be helped by adding a heat deflector around the battery. These can be purchased at any auto parts store for under $20. Third thing is the battery has sit for a long period of time and has not been properly maintained. For example you have a battery that sits for 6 months and you never charge it up. It drops below 12.6V and sulfation starts to build on the plates in the battery. Then when you go to use it the sulfation causes the internal pressure to build in the battery and it then starts to swell. im from el paso texas here right now its above 100+farenheits plus my engine producing heat im gonna try the heat deflector Quote 06 Trailblazer ss2 Team shok industries tsx 18sPhoenix Gold ''THE ONE''2 Phoenix gold 800.44 crescendo mp6.2 crescendo mp8bass processor Dc power 270xp 150ft 1/0 ofc sky high cable1 juicebox lithium 0.5kwh 14v/40ahkenwood dnx8120BCAE1.com YouTube channel : REaudioxxx1build log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160106-trailblazer-ss-xxx/
